About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our school as an Assistant Headteacher. This established post exists to further our aim to become an outstanding school. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role on the school leadership team, with specific responsibilities as outlined in the job description. Burleigh is ambitious for success, with our school improvement plan outlining our 'route to outstanding'. This post combines release time for leadership and management responsibilities with a three-day teaching commitment (including PPA), based in upper KS2. 

Our mission statement, working together for the good of the children, is simple, but demands wholehearted commitment. Everyone who works at Burleigh knows that they are here to put the needs of the children first. All staff have a desire to see each child become a M.A.G.I.C. learner, full of: Motivation, Aspiration, Gumption, Integrity and Communication. Whilst there are shared expectations, staff are very much free to express their own individuality and lead and teach in a style that enables them to achieve the best outcomes for our pupils. Burleigh staff are not clones of one another – our diversity is our strength!
