We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Head (Pastoral) to join the Senior Leadership Team. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional individual to lead on the development and delivery of our pastoral programme including safeguarding, and to make an active contribution to whole school strategy and operations for the long-term success of our school.

The Assistant Head (Pastoral) leads a team of Heads of Year, two nurses, counsellor and Head of Personal Development (PSHE) and is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) coordinating the support of the Junior School DSL and Deputy DSL. The successful candidate will lead and develop colleagues and continue to inspire this happy, successful and award-winning school to build on its many achievements.

Located in a cosmopolitan urban setting but drawing equal numbers of pupils from the attractive and established suburbs of West Yorkshire and the lower Dales, the School is a flagship for progressive, independent education. Bradford Grammar School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent school situated in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The school caters for children from junior school through to sixth form, aged between 6-19. Admission is by exam. There are approximately 1,120 students at the school.   

Bradford Grammar School was founded in 1662 by Royal Charter and has been based on its current site since 1949. It shares a site with its junior school, Clock House. Facilities include specialist sports grounds, a swimming pool and gym.
