As the Assistant Head Teacher (Personal Development), you will play a vital role in fostering the personal growth and wellbeing of our pupils. You will provide strategic leadership for the school’s pastoral systems, working closely with the Heads of Key Stages to create a nurturing environment that supports inclusion, promotes student leadership, and upholds the school’s core values of friendship, responsibility, respect, and unity.
We seek a leader who embodies our ethos and values and demonstrates a commitment to high standards of pastoral care. Your ability to inspire and motivate others, drive innovation, and manage change will be essential in ensuring the continued personal development of our pupils and the ongoing success of our school.
Please note – A university degree with QTS or international equivalent is essential, as is relevant experience in the UK or in an overseas British secondary school. We require our staff to be English-speaking teachers (native-speaker level).
About Canterbury School
Canterbury School is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain. At Canterbury, we offer a British International education across all Key Stages. Our curriculum, based on the English National Curriculum, is adapted to our cultural context by emphasising Spanish language and literature. This enables our students to access universities worldwide at the end of their school career.
