This job is Full Time and is offered on a permanent basis.
To Start January 2025
Are you ready for the next step in your career and looking for new opportunities? We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, innovative and outstanding Assistant Headteacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our oversubscribed upper school. We are on a journey of rapid improvement and want an inquisitive, positive, dynamic and resilient colleague to join our leadership team.
Under the overall direction of the Headteacher, you will support and lead the improvement and development of the school in a defined area. We have a range of skills and experience in the leadership team and we are seeking a colleague who has the personal attributes and experience to drive improvement. Applicants with a pastoral or curriculum background will be welcomed: what we are looking for is evidence of impact in your current role and a clear vision for how you will improve the quality of education at QE for our students.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have a record of leading in the secondary phase and will be able to demonstrate effective leadership and motivation of students and staff. You will need to be an excellent communicator and will be able to prioritise effectively. QE is a large secondary school and this role will therefore suit either a middle leader looking to make the step into leadership, or an existing senior leader. We are on an exciting journey of change and we need leaders who possess the knowledge, skills and experience to make an impact across a busy and thriving secondary setting.
Applicants with a subject specialism in English, mathematics, science or MFL are particularly welcome, though we will accept applicants from all subject areas.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer you a career within an exciting and growing Trust. You will receive excellent CPD from experienced leaders and be encouraged to seek additional CPD through school visits, peer reviews and NPQ qualifications.
Please refer to the attached job description for more details about the role.
