The Campus:

OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus is a dynamic, forward thinking educational hub which also maintains a strong sense of community- based in one of the largest towns in Kent. Students join us from across the South East of England from Year 3 to Year 13. The Position:

We have the opportunity for an Assistant Head Teacher to help lead our amazing Maidstone team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking, highly motivated and truly inspirational practitioner to be an Assistant Head Teacher – with Core subject teaching responsibilities and leadership portfolio Key Stage Progress lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Commencing from January 2025, with responsibility to support the day-to-day management and professional leadership of the Maidstone Campus, the Assistant Head Teacher will ensure curriculum delivery focusing on the student as a self-directed learner and the implementation of the school’s policies and programs. Reporting to the Campus Principal and supported by an experienced Executive Team with expert and high-level support in the areas of Curriculum, Administration, HR, Finance, ICT, Property and WHS, the Assistant Head Teacher is a key member of the senior educational leadership team, providing educational and academic leadership to staff and students.

You will:

  • Have an in-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience as a DSL (or Deputy DSL willing to train as a DSL) on Safeguarding and Child Protection and its application in an education setting.
  • Ideally have knowledge of the Key Stages of the National Curriculum and assessment framework
  • Have experience with pastoral or behavioural management of students.
  • Have experience in improving the quality of teaching and learning as a department lead or within a whole school setting.
  • Have previous experience as a middle / senior leader over the last 3 years and experience of implementing strategies to improve progress.
  • Have experience of online teaching and learning
  • Have QTS / QTLS, Honours Degree and ideally have a GCSE English and Maths at level C / 5 or above
  • Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work.
  • Uphold and promulgate the OneSchool ethos within all areas of responsibility.
  • Embed the Learning2Learn framework across the campus.
  • Ensure the campus has a high performing motivated team culture.

About OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus

OneSchool Global UK Maidstone Campus (formerly Focus School Linton Park Campus) is an independent, all-through, co-educational, non-selective school for children aged 7-18. It has a strong Christian ethos and there are 195 pupils on its roll. Linton Park is situated in Maidstone, Kent. The school was established on its current site in 2008 in purpose-built accommodation, which has been further developed since including a new state-of-the-art Learning Centre for Primary students.
