The Governors are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join the Leadership team at Bellerive. The successful candidate will support with the day-to-day management of the school, imcluding:
· Communicate the school’s vision compellingly and support strategic leadership
· Lead by example, holding and articulating clear values and moral purpose, and focusing on providing excellent education for all pupils
· Model excellent teaching and learning
· Build positive relationships with all members of the school community, showing positive attitudes to them
· Keep up to date with developments in education, and have a good knowledge of education systems locally, nationally and globally
· Work with political and financial astuteness, translating policy into the school’s context
· Be prepared to undertake curriculum responsibilities as and when required
· Have an excellent grasp of data and its implications
· Seek training and continuing professional development to meet own needs

Bellerive Catholic College is a popular and oversubscribed school. The latest OFSTED inspection, October 2021, graded Bellerive as Good. Located in a pleasant area of the city, adjacent to two parks, the college is a non selective school for girls, with boys admitted to the sixth form. The intake is from over 60 primary schools throughout the city and beyond.
The college has benefited from significant capital expenditure, including a new Sixth Form block and excellent new teaching facilities. New science laboratories, ICT and Technology facilities opened in September 2017, together with a new Sports Hall.
The school performs above the national average in a number of measures.
