About our school

Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy are welcoming and ambitious schools in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth.

Since December 2016 Wroughton Academies have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the schools to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children they teach and a brand new link building was opened in 2019 to ensure that the two schools are as closely linked as possible.

Our mission is to develop the full academic, personal and social potential of each individual pupil. Through the highest expectations, we ensure that children have the knowledge, understanding and skills to be confident and successful.

The Role

The core purpose of the Assistant Headteacher is to ensure the achievement of the highest possible educational standards, creating an ethos characterised by high expectations and a community in which pupils and staff feel valued.

Securing the right person with the ambition, innovation, motivation and leadership expertise is our paramount objective.

There will be flexibility in determining the specific roles and responsibilities according to the experience of the successful candidate.

 As a member of the senior leadership team you will provide support to the Executive Principal and Headteacher and support the management and development of the school in order to promote improved educational outcomes for the children.

Our mission at Wroughton Academies is –  through the highest expectations, we ensure that children have the knowledge, understanding and skills to be confident and successful.
