Assistant Headteacher

We are seeking to appoint innovative Assistant Headteachers with a track record of raising standards in secondary schools.

King Solomon High School is a unique and wonderful Jewish secondary school, set in the London Borough of Redbridge. Our school is inclusive, and our students and staff come from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds.

There are currently four Assistant Headteacher positions available. Specific responsibilities will be agreed with successful candidates and will include some of the following.

• Behaviour systems and routines​
• Safeguarding ​
• Mental health and student wellbeing ​
• Raising achievement ​
• Data, assessment and intervention​
• Attendance​
• Personal development, PSHE and tutor time​
• Enrichment and the wider curriculum ​
• Student leadership​
• Student character development 

The school is currently going through a period of rapid improvement. The new Headteacher is building a new senior leadership team to transform all aspects of the school. This is an exciting opportunity to lead real and meaningful change, lead innovation and be part of a great success story.

The newly appointed Headteacher is ambitious for the school’s future, strives for excellence and has high expectations of staff and students.

The school is conveniently located a few minutes walk from Fairlop underground station on the central line. On Fridays the school day ends at 1.20pm, which is an excellent staff wellbeing provision.
