Job overview

Farleigh School seeks to appoint an Assistant Houseparent to support the Houseparents in providing outstanding pastoral care within our senior girls (11-13 years) boarding house and supporting the school’s wraparound care provision, including supporting junior prep, twilight club and supper.

As a Catholic school, there is an expectation that staff uphold the values and ethos of the school but being a practicing Catholic is not a pre-requisite for the post.

This is a part time, term time only position and working 29 hours during non-exeat weeks and 23 hours per week during exeat weeks, where Friday is a non-working day, the specific working pattern is:

Non-exeat weeks: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 4.30pm to 10.30pm and 3.30pm to 10.30pm on a Wednesday with a 20 minute unpaid break each day.

Exeat weeks: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday - 4.30pm to 10.30pm and 3.30pm to 10.30pm on a Wednesday with a 20 minute unpaid break each day.
