 Assistant Lead – Mathematics MPS / UPS + TLR (TBC)

 We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and talented Assistant Lead for Maths who is dedicated and able to assist our Maths team and work with our Head of Maths. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing high quality outcomes for all learners and will be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership skills to play a key strategic role in raising standards across the department.

The Mosslands School is situated in the heart of the Wallasey community and is a recognised centre of excellence for STEAM subjects.

The successful candidate will be a remarkable teacher with high expectations. They will possess excellent leadership qualities and the creativity, passion and skill to build their curriculum and help to take their department with them on that journey. They will have the ability to motivate and inspire staff and pupils alike and possess the necessary drive and determination to bring about rapid and sustained improvements in teaching and learning.

As the assistant leader of the Maths department, you should have:

• Ability and passion for leading teaching and learning in Maths

• Strong behaviour management strategies and a supportive approach for colleagues

• The ability to communicate clearly and confidently to all stakeholders

• Evidence of your impact both as a teacher and as a middle leader
