  • Has led at Head of Faculty level
  • Have a blend of personal qualities, professional skills, and specific attributes that enable them to effectively lead and manage pupil behavior within a school setting
  • Have the ability to set a clear vision for behavior expectations and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Have confidence in making difficult decisions, particularly in high-pressure or sensitive situations involving pupil behavior.
  • Upholds high ethical standards in all interactions and decisions.
  • Understand and respect the diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds of pupils and their families.
  • Demonstrate genuine care and understanding of the diverse backgrounds and challenges faced by pupils.
  • Maintain calm and composure in emotionally charged situations, modeling appropriate responses for pupils and staff.

George Eliot is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. A smaller than average-sized secondary school, George Eliot will provide 950 places for secondary students aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.

The George Eliot High School opened in September 1961, set up as a new provision for the housing developments being built in the Nuneaton area. The school has expanded in size several times since then to accommodate its growing pupil numbers, most notably in 2002 when two new buildings were opened.
