Job overview

We are seeking an inspiring, intelligent and ambitious leader to join our senior leadership team and lead our Sixth Form.

This post is open to applications from experienced teachers of all national curriculum subjects. Candidates will be capable, articulate and dedicated to bringing positive outcomes for young people in our school community.  Above all else, they must be excellent teachers and act with integrity at all times. We are passionate about teaching and learning and would love to hear from you if you share our belief in the power of education to transform lives.

The successful applicant will:

·        be an exceptional classroom practitioner, who is able to teach a national curriculum subject at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5;

·        have a proven track record of school improvement, at least at Middle Leadership level;

·        have experience of leading teams and raising standards ;

·        understand and be able to articulate how they have used effective self-evaluation to raise standards and levels of achievement;

·        have experience of developing the work of colleagues at various professional stages;

·        have proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others;

·        have an up to date knowledge of the emerging issues in school leadership;

·        be a committed, highly-competent, reflective and resilient individual;

·        have a sense of humour and good interpersonal and communication skills.

The Spires College is a co-educational, 11-18 School with a bilateral stream.  We are a friendly, caring school which puts the needs of our children at the heart of all we do.
