Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for KS2

United Learning Trust are looking to appoint an Assistant Principal with responsibility for KS2 to join Kettering Buccleuch Academy. We are also looking for this candidate to take on other whole school responsibilities which are yet to be confirmed. The successful candidate will either be an experienced leader, or someone who has the appropriate skills and ambition to take the next step into leadership.

Kettering Buccleuch Academy is part of United Learning Trust. This is a large and successful trust that have supported the school in its journey to being a good school with many areas that are outstanding. Kettering Buccleuch Academy serves the local community and is a popular and thriving school.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to specifically develop the learning and progress of KS2 and to have a whole school impact for the area that you lead. We are looking for someone who is a strong classroom practitioner with direct experience teaching in KS2. The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator and be able to lead a team positively towards a shared vision and goal.

We are proud of our outstanding leadership team and we are passionate about improving the life chances for our pupils. We are looking for someone to join our incredibly successful team to further offer our community a top quality school where their children can thrive.

Our teachers and leaders are passionate about teaching and learning, and the successful candidate will share our rigorously high expectations for the academic, social and personal development of every pupil in our school. We can offer a fantastic working environment, leadership CPD to enhance your skill as well as extensive CPD opportunities provided by our trust.

In our school, we do believe in a work-life balance. As much as we work incredibly hard with our children, we try to set things up for our staff so that they have the time and energy to be successful. For example, we offer PPA from home, extra training days dedicated to planning and well-being, a sensible marking policy, team planning, free lunch for every member of staff, a free healthcash plan, a reprographics team (who will print and laminate for you!) and many other elements that help to ensure teachers can concentrate on the job they love to do.

It couldn’t be a more exciting time to join our academy. We are hard-working passionate educators looking for the next leader to work alongside us. You would be joining a large and supportive trust who are dedicated to more pay, more time and more support.

We would welcome visits to the academy. If you are interested, please contact Maggie Bailey, PA to the Head of Primary: maggiebailey@kba.uk to book in a time.
