We are looking to appoint to the position of Assistant Site Manager here at Longdendale High School.  The role is varied, and the successful candidate will support the site manager with the effective day to day operation of the school’s facilities management service.  The effective opening/locking up of site and maintenance of the school buildings, premises and associated resources will be a key aspect of this role.    

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with the Site Manager to support with the arrangements for project developments, general repair and maintenance, first aid and the maintenance of the school’s buildings, equipment and grounds.  Reviewing and adhering to all Health and Safety requirements to ensure compliance to help us continually improve will be essential. 

As an Assistant Site Manager for the school, you will be responsible for dealing with all general repairs and maintenance requests that are logged on the help desk. Working pro-actively, independently and as part of a team whilst ensuring Health and Safety regulations are observed will be integral to this role. Developing effective working relationships and adopting a flexible and solution focused approach are essential requirements of the successful candidate. 

Previous experience of working within a school environment is important but not essential. The job is as demanding as it is varied and does involve a lot of practical and physical work. A person bringing with them a recognised trade would also be desirable.  A willingness to be flexible in your approach and the ability to carry out all duties in line with school expectations is paramount.
