DCSN (Dubai Center for Special Needs) is a not-for-profit Center, regarded as one of the best for people of determination in Dubai. With 150 students enrolled, we are committed to providing exceptional educational and therapeutic support to students with a wide range of disabilities. Our mission is to empower each student to achieve their full potential through individualized programs and a nurturing environment. We pride ourselves on our multidisciplinary approach, fostering collaboration among educators, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the educational and social development of students with special educational needs.
• Provide support inside and outside the classroom to enable students to fully participate in activities.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning and promote progress.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Support students with physical disabilities and ensure their safety and comfort.
• Help with the development and adaptation of teaching materials to meet the needs of individual students.
• Foster a positive and nurturing environment to enhance the emotional well-being of students.
• Liaise with teachers, regarding student progress and areas of concern.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
• Degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology preferred or relevant qualifications such as a CACHE Level 3 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Understanding of child development and learning processes.
