Burscough Priory Academy are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Assistant to the SENCo to join our established team on a full time, permanent, term time only basis. This role is ideal for a candidate who has good knowledge of Special Needs, who is now looking for a rewarding role in a great school.

The role is to support our SENCo with the administrative processes and parent and multi-agency involvement, to release time for the SENCo to focus more readily on developing inclusive practices in the classroom. It is an exciting time to join our team as are in the process of overhauling our Special Needs provision. You will be joining a team of positive and enthusiastic staff who are focused on providing the best outcomes for our students and our whole school community.

The successful applicant will be a positive, flexible and motivated individual with personal drive. You will have a calm, organised nature, with the ability to work professionally to strict deadlines, responding effectively and efficiently to challenges. You will be able to communicate confidently and effectively, in varied situations. You will have the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, maintaining a positive and successful working relationship with colleagues.

This post is full time, permanent and term time only plus inset days. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 8:30am-4:00pm.
