Salary: £32.53 Per Hour 

 

Contract Type: Hourly Paid, Term- Time only 

 

Location: Paignton, Devon 

 

We are recruiting for an Associate Lecturer to provide cover within the department. As a professional lecturer you will be required to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties of food preparation in both practical skills and theory classes as well as within the restaurant production environment. You will undertake the role of personal tutor and be responsible for planning and conducting student assessments. You will demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene legislation. 

 

The successful candidate will possess a degree or vocational qualification at Level 3, an intermediate food hygiene certificate, with experience of kitchen supervision or management. You will be willing to display flexibility in working hours to provide cover when needed. 

 

The Key tasks are: 

  • Prepare and deliver formal scheduled teaching duties including teaching, tutorials, and learner assessment on college premises and off site where required. 
  • Manage, plan, and review learning programmes and the curriculum, including the development of resources, new initiatives, and interpretation of statistics to inform improvement action plans.  
  • Promote equal opportunities at all times. 
  • Participate in all aspects of Quality Assurance team meetings and strategic planning as appropriate.
