Your Role as a Maths Teacher

As a Maths Teacher at Newton Lagoon, you’ll inspire a new generation of problem-solvers and critical thinkers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Preparing pupils for success in IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Creating engaging pupils that make complex concepts accessible and exciting.
  • Supporting students in achieving their academic and personal best.
  • Collaborating with a passionate team to enhance the Maths curriculum.
  • Encouraging a growth mindset and fostering confidence in every pupil.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for enthusiastic educators who:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Possess a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Have experience teaching Maths at Key Stages 3 to 5, including IGCSE and A-Level preparation.
  • Are familiar with the British National Curriculum.
  • Combine strong classroom management with the ability to inspire and engage pupils.
  • Value collaboration, creativity, and continuous professional development.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
