“RISE SPACE is Revolutionising SEND Education for aspirational learning, personal empowerment and confidence to shatter glass ceilings, reaching new levels of achievement with young people aged 16-18 years old. RISE prioritises understanding the whole person and uses this to inform the curriculum, programmes of support and to build a solid platform for future pathways.
We are seeking creative and energetic Team member for our Aylesbury Team to create, support and deliver an innovative curriculum adapted and modified, not only to meet needs and outcomes and aspirations, but to develop the character, confidence and independence of the young people in our care.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate the Outreach team project to encourage and support clients on a one-to-one basis; to obtain all of the skills and confidence they require to be able to leave their homes; to access a supported work based placements within the community.
Having completed a vocational profile the successful candidate will support clients to identify their skills and readiness for employment and training and identify any barriers. They will work with the young person and any stakeholders to understand their strengths and develop activities to assist with removing personal barriers.
The candidate will work independently to research and match suitable employment, work placements, volunteering or training opportunities based on client preferences, aspiration, skill set and need. They will create and provide sessions to support the identified needs and work with the setting to instate reasonable adjustments that the service user may need to work successfully.
This role will also encompass transitions in to RISE SPACE packages, supporting personal development of all provision learners and developing and delivering associated workshops.
In addition to assist with CV’s, applications and support for interviews.

Role purpose:
- To develop a trusting relationship with young people, getting to know them and understanding their needs, aspirations and identify barriers preventing them from achieving their career goals.
- Motivating and encouraging students to help them develop the confidence to attempt to re-engage with reaching their career and training goals
- To devise a plan of work that you will undertake with the young person that will enable them to move from their starting point and transition them to their work experience, volunteering or employment.
- Monitor student progression, and where students face learning barriers conduct discussions and activities to aid completion.
- Support and structure the work placement so that the young person has a role they can manage with increasing levels of independence, ensuring safeguarding at all times.
- General Administration and record keeping, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
- Co-ordinating, administrating and delivering a variety of personal development sessions to meet goals.
- To organise, deliver and support appropriate transition plans that meet the needs of students, build confidence and raise aspirations.
- To offer effective and transformative support and transitions for young people that support wellbeing and build resilient platforms for future pathways by exploring barriers to learning, access and engagement and sharing them with relevant stakeholders.
- Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested in the delivery of the companies’ objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop trusting relationships with young people in their home, community or RISE SPACE setting.
• Undertake a vocational profile and explore a variety of vocations and careers that may suit the needs and ambitions of the young person.
• Delivery of required interventions and tasks to pupils in their home, a library or school setting to prepare them for work and the community.
• Support the young person to transition into a work experience placement, ensure that the placement meets needs and that the role is suitable structured so that they can access it with increasing levels of confidence and reduced levels of support.
• Ensure appropriate transition activities are implemented to maintain student pace, with appropriate stretch and challenge and regular review.
• Ensure effective liaison with the SENDCO to support student intervention and help the removal of barriers to learning and progress.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students.
• Record and celebrate activities / events that encourage and recognise achievement.
• Provide students, parents and carers and stakeholders with opportunities to feedback on transition and regularly share progress of the syudents through Assess plan do review processes.
• Support students as they transition to alternative sessions, work based placements or community experiences or employment.
• Help pupils make progress with communication and interaction, social skills, independence and wellbeing.
• By personal example and practice, demonstrate high standards and a professional approach in line with RISE policies and those of the Educational Settings visited.
• Ensure that all students are safeguarded and respond to any safeguarding concerns in line with RISE Policy and the Policy of any Educational Setting accessed.
• Any individual tasks as deemed necessary and as instructed by the Provision Lead
