We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual in the position of Behaviour Manager based at Plymstock School. This talented individual, would be required to manage and continue to develop our caring and supportive learning environment for our young people, including the school vision of ‘Achieving Excellence through Curriculum and Culture’

Under the direction of their line manager, within an agreed system of supervision, the post holder is responsible for the effective day-to-day organisation, coordination, supervision of students and support of the Reset and Internal Reflection rooms (CORE rooms). Implementing agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom / CORE rooms.
The role of the Behaviour Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the CORE rooms, through accurate record keeping and communications with stakeholders at all levels, which is both timely and effective.

What we are looking for:
- Recent experience of working closely with children and young people to support improvements in behaviours and attitudes
- Understanding of the issues related to the motivation, behaviours and attitudes of young people
- Understanding of the current issues related to disengagement of young people with education
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop successful working relationships
- Experience of implementing targeted and specialist intervention strategies with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom

Plymstock is a suburb of Plymouth and lies approximately three miles to the east of the city. It is within easy access of the A38, and teachers commute from Cornwall, Dartmoor and the South Hams.

School Information
Plymstock School is a co-educational 11-18 non-selective school of over 1600 students, with 250 in the Sixth Form. We are a very popular choice with parents and are significantly oversubscribed. Consequently, we are expanding our Year 7 school intake from 260 to 300 students each year.
Plymstock is a suburb of Plymouth and lies approximately three miles to the east of the city. It is within easy access of the A38, and teachers commute from Cornwall, Dartmoor and the South Hams. Most students live in the Plymstock area.
Visitors are always impressed with the outstanding atmosphere they experience around the school and how courteous and welcoming our students and staff are. Students take pride in their school and respond positively to the extremely high standards expected of them. All staff promote a can-do attitude amongst students, encouraging them to aspire to attain their highest academic and personal goals.
