The Newton International School Lagoon is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Biology Teacher to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a passionate educator with experience in the British curriculum who is committed to inspiring and nurturing students’ love for biology. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of key biological concepts and effective teaching practices, along with the ability to engage students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality biology lessons to secondary students following the British curriculum (Key Stages 3, 4, and 5).
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Prepare and assess students for external exams (IGCSE and A-level).
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages intellectual curiosity and academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff development initiatives.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is essential.
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in the British curriculum is required.
- Experience in preparing students for IGCSE examinations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for biology and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
