Are you ready to create lasting memories, inspire young minds, and be part of something truly special? Bede's is seeking to appoint an outstanding professional to become our dedicated Boarding House Parent at our Prep School from September 2024 as we relaunch our Boarding House in Eastbourne. 

In leading a boarding house, you will provide a warm and supportive environment where pupils can thrive. It is your overview of their pastoral and academic lives that is vital in supporting their success. You will be an advocate for Boarding in maintaining a positive atmosphere in the House. You will be supported by a House Manager & Matron and will report directly to our Assistant Head; Boarding. 

You will have a strong track record of pastoral care, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for working with young people. You will also be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and play a key role in the pastoral leadership of the school. You will be innovative, empathetic, adaptable, an enabler, and have high expectations of behaviour and courtesy, while at the same time be understanding of the challenges facing children and adolescents. You will be someone who is committed to continued professional development in your boarding practice.

This is a full time, permanent position starting in September 2024, this is a non teaching role, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Due to the nature of the role, we will require the individual to be on a rota for weekends & evenings.

The salary range for this position will be £32,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.
