We are currently seeking a dedicated Boarding Matron to join our prestigious senior school community. You will be working from Monday to Wednesday from 8am to 5.30pm.
As a Boarding Matron, you will be responsible for ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our boarding pupils while also promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting our young people to ensure good attendance of their lessons
- Providing pastoral care and emotional support to ensure their wellbeing and safety at all times
- Monitoring and enforcing the school's rules and policies in regards to behaviour, conduct and health
- Liaising with other academic and pastoral staff, to provide comprehensive support for boarders
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, behaviour and health issues
- Contributing to the development and implementation of pastoral care programs and policies

Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school. Wycliffe is located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football and cricket for boys with hockey, netball and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash, and excels at rowing and basketball and there is a thriving CCF.
