The Role:
The Hub Senior IT Technician is a pivotal role that encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities related to the school’s IT infrastructure. The purpose of this role is to assist the Hub ICT Business Partner in delivering a reliable efficient and consistent ICT systems performance and comprehensive ICT support for the Academy staff and students. This role demands a high degree of technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and an unwavering dedication to delivering outstanding service and support to all users.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent performance of all ICT systems across our academies, providing reliable support and maintenance.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of software and hardware using the Trust's official asset register software.
- Operate the Academy ICT Helpdesk effectively, logging and resolving helpdesk calls within agreed service levels.
- Monitor security aspects and promptly address anomalies, reporting concerns to the Hub ICT Business Partner.
Pay range:
NJC Support Scale Range 20-25 (£31,586 - £35,235 per annum)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant ICT qualifications or equivalent demonstrable ICT technical support experience.
- Maths & English GCSEs grades 4-9 (A-C)
- Knowledge of software and hardware e.g., Microsoft office, networking software, modems, internet, etc
- Ability to ‘look outside’ – to continually learn about innovations in your field, new ways of doing things, and bring that learning into your work.
- Understand how you are part of your immediate team but also a much wider organisational team, in working towards our mission.
