Situated on 25 acres in a park-like environment within the city of Seoul, SFS is a not-for-profit school, with an annual operating budget in excess of US $60 million. All overseas faculty and administration are housed on campus or in apartments close to campus. Administrative and faculty turnover is normally low with faculty staying five or more years on average.

 

Seoul Foreign School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). As a world IB (International Baccalaureate) school, we offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). In the British school, we offer the English National Curriculum (ENC) through the International Curriculum Framework which includes International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

The Head of School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the team as British School Principal, to lead and manage the daily operations of the British school, which has approximately 135 students in Key Stages 1 and 2. This position will report to the Head of School and is a member of the whole school Senior Administrative Team. This is a key role in leading and managing the British School, ensuring the achievement of excellent educational standards, promoting and safeguarding the welfare of its children, and being part of the dynamic Senior Leadership Team of Seoul Foreign School.

Seoul Foreign School (SFS) is an independent mainstream all-through international school and sixth form college for pupils of mixed gender aged between 2 and 18 years old. The British School division teaches the National Curriculum of England while the elementary and middle schools follow a US based curriculum. Students work towards achieving IGSE and International Baccalaureate qualifications.

Established in 1912 by Christian missionaries, the school is in the top 10 oldest International schools in the world and puts an emphasis on teaching Christian values. It has approximately 1,500 pupils and is located in the Seodaemun District of Seoul in the Republic of Korea.
