This is a full-time, year-round position for a highly motivated candidate seeking the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of this historic school at an exciting juncture under a refreshed Board and Management.

The Elms is an independent, co-educational, day and boarding prep school set in 40 acres with its own farm and equestrian facilities, flanked by the beautiful Malvern Hills.

Believed to be the oldest prep school in England still operating on its original site, The Elms has a history stretching back over 400 years. With its small class sizes and excellent facilities, the School is known for its nurturing care and for sending its well-rounded, curious and proactive children to a broad range of outstanding senior schools, many with scholarships.

The Bursar will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team of the School and will report to the Head and to the Chair of the Finance Committee.

The Bursar will be responsible for all matters relating to Finance, Human Resources, Estate Management, Insurance, Legal, Compliance, Health & Safety and will act as Company Secretary.

The position would suit an experienced Bursar however we welcome applicants from other backgrounds who meet the personal specification and qualities in the job description.

On-site accommodation can be made available on an interim basis to support the successful candidate in relocating to the area.
