Apprentice Administration Assistant, North East Futures UTC £5.28 per hour working 37 hours per week on a term time only basis plus 20 days, fixed term contract for 18 months

North East Futures UTC is located in central Newcastle in the newly redeveloped Stephenson Quarter.  The building replicates a business environment with state of the art facilities.  All students at North East Futures UTC specialise in either Healthcare Science or Computer Science, at 14 they will also study a broad and balanced curriculum and at Post 16 the curriculum becomes more specialist A levels and Level 3 courses. 

 

We are seeking to appoint a Business Administration apprentice to work in our administration team.  As part of a formal apprenticeship programme an hourly training allowance of £5.28 per hour will be paid.  The applicant must be committed to undertake training and development activities to complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship successfully.


You will work closely with the business support team providing general administration support at North East Futures UTC carrying out a range of duties.  During the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to gain appropriate experience and will be mentored by the Admissions Manager and by an external training provider.

North East Futures University Technical College (UTC) is an upcoming school for children aged 14-19. The school is one of a new type of school intended to provide high quality, innovative and practical education for students. The curriculum at these schools includes technical specialisms, which differ depending on the labour-force gap in their region. Each individual UTC will be backed and supported by a regional university and a range of employers. As well as this, the school will operate a longer school day, running until 5pm, to better provide for students and reflect the normal working day. North East UTC will provide a variety of different GCSE and A-level subjects, and have a capacity for around 600 students across a relatively large area.
