Job title:       Business Development Assistant 

Location:            Bolton Based with Regional Travel (Hybrid)

Salary:                £25,000 per annum 

Hours:                9-5 Monday-Friday

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Business Development Assistant is to provide vital administrative support to the Business Development team, focusing on managing contracts and engaging with Local Authorities (LAs) to drive business initiatives. In this role, you will coordinate and organise contract documentation, ensuring all agreements are processed efficiently and accurately. By acting as a liaison between the BD team and external stakeholders, you will facilitate communication and understanding of project requirements.

You will be responsible for understanding the current needs of the business and assisting in the pursuit of signed contracts that align with our strategic goals. Your proactive engagement with LAs will help nurture relationships, ensuring their needs are met while promoting the services offered by our organisation.

Additionally, you will maintain organised records of contracts and related correspondence, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the BD team’s operations. Your enthusiasm for problem-solving and commitment to exceptional customer service will be essential as you navigate challenges and identify solutions.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with business objectives and support the successful delivery of projects. Your organisational skills and ability to multitask will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the growth and success of our initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Engage with Local Authorities to build relationships and facilitate contract signing.
  • Support the Business Development team in delivering projects and initiatives.
  • Chase LAs for signed contracts, ensuring timely follow-ups and communication.
  • Maintain organised records of contracts and related correspondence.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the BD team as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical:

  • 2-4 years of administrative experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant administrative tools.


Desirable

  • Experience working within the education sector or with local authorities is beneficial.
  • A background in contract management or administration would be an advantage.
