Highsted Grammar School is a selective 11-18 secondary school for girls in Sittingbourne, Kent. It was known as Sittingbourne Girls’ Grammar School when it moved to its current site in the 1950s. The school converted to academy status in 2011. The sixth form is now co-educational.

The school has specialist science status, with sponsorship from Microsoft.

Highsted Grammar School is part of the Sittingbourne Partnership, a collaborative approach to sixth form education which enriches and extends the opportunities available to students through operating a joint timetable with Borden Grammar and Fulston Manor schools.

The school’s strong partnerships across business and community offers a growing network of sponsorship and support both within the UK and Europe, creating opportunities including work experience placements, university summer schools and professional support.

A balanced and broad curriculum recognises that what the school calls “the real female strengths of communication, problem-solving and team-work” can be equally valuable in science, engineering, technology, the arts and business.
