Are you looking for a new opportunity? Want to make an impact at a new school at the very beginning of its journey? Spring School opening September 2023 is looking for a Caretaker to join us and help us provide an excellent education for all our learners.
The Spring School will be a part of the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust, which was established as a multi-academy trust to develop new free schools. In 2020, the Trust was chosen to develop a new special free school for autistic children and young people in Chessington. Spring School will be a place where autistic children can learn, thrive, achieve, and belong.
Working as part of the School Business Support Team you will be responsible for all aspects of the site maintenance including a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the school. This includes security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs. To ensure caretaking duties and monitoring activities are undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.

This role will include (but not limited to):
· Ensuring the maintenance of the school buildings, environment and grounds is efficiently carried out.
· Manging security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance and minor repairs in the school.
· Ensuring the school is kept tidy e.g. litter picking, disinfecting bins, daily toilet checks.
· Ensuring activities are undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety legislations.
· To carry out repairs and DIY projects
· Developing productive relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders across the organisation.
· To maintain the minibus, ensuring cleanliness and basic mechanical checks

This is full time permanent role which is all year around (Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week).

The Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust that shares Ambitious about Autism’s vision and mission. Through the Trust, we are developing more schools to reach the autistic children and young people who need our specialist support.
In 2014, the trust set up our first special free school, The Rise School, in west London. In 2023, the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust opened Spring School, a new special free school in Kingston, south west London. Spring School is dedicated to educating autistic pupils aged 4–19.
