The successful candidate will be adaptable, hardworking with a positive and accommodating attitude. We look for individual who can demonstrate professionalism, tact, and the ability to maintain and manage a safe learning environment for our young people. You will have a keen eye for detail to ensure our facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.
As a cleaner, your duties will include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets, emptying bins and deep cleaning in all areas of the school plus other general cleaning but this list is not exclusive.
Experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Reports to: Cleaning Supervisor
This position will involve contact with children and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.
Start date: ASAP
Job type: Bank (when the need arises).
This is a casual position with core working hours from Monday to Friday, 4pm to 9pm and during term time in holiday periods 9am -2pm.
Additional hours may occasionally be available based on need. Please be aware that weekly hours are not guaranteed and may vary, so flexibility and adaptability are essential for this role.
Principal Location: John Lyon School, Middle Road, Middle Road, Harrow-on-the-Hill, HA2 0HN.
However, you will be required to cover/ undertake duties at John Lyon Prep School, Hindes Road, Harrow, HA1 1RX.
The job will involve alternative arrangements during school closure periods. Flexibility is a must.
Salary: Competitive salary, depending on skills and experience.
An hourly rate of £13.31 subject to expertise.
