Salary: Qualified* £18.74 per hour
Unqualified £17.17 per hour
Location: Harlow (with significant travel across Southern and Eastern England)

The Employability, Innovation and Skills Academy deliver a wide range of short employability courses that are aimed at helping unemployed people gain the knowledge and skills to progress into long term employment. We work closely with the Job Centre Plus and other partners to run courses that are tailored to the current labour market. These can range from development of core skills such as CV writing, interview skills and communication skills to vocational courses such as construction and security that provide practical skills and knowledge to apply for licences to work in the industry. This role will be focussed on the delivery of the security courses, to enable Learners to gain their SIA license
We are currently looking for a dynamic, organised and inspirational tutor to support adult learners to gain their SIA license to enable them to seek work in the security industry. You will be required to contribute to the delivery of the Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry course. This course is delivered across different locations in the south and east of England. The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible approach to working, as the role requires significant travel across Eastern and Southern England.
What we are looking for
- A level 3 teaching qualification
- Good level of IT skills
- A level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Relevant qualifications to delivery door supervision at level 3 (Elite model is preferred, but not essential), including conflict management and physical intervention
- Competency in delivering door supervision courses
- You should have your own vehicle for travelling
