Set in its own grounds close to Frome town centre, North Hill House is an independent specialist day school for children and young people aged 6 to 19 years with high functioning autistic spectrum disorders, including Asperger’s Syndrome and associated difficulties.

The school has been specifically designed to provide a strong focus for both UK and international students who need different levels of support to succeed, thus allowing young people with autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated difficulties to thrive effectively in an ever-demanding and complex society. Students have ambitions to live and work as self-reliant adults and we can help them to reach their goals with continued support, structure and guidance.

Catering experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The role holder would support our Chef to prepare the lunch service for our young people and staff team, maintain the dining room and help clear away. We are looking for someone who will interact well with our young people and can create interesting visual displays giving information about food, nutrition, culture, and traditions. We would like our successful candidate to be engaging and add an element of creativity and fun to our young people's lunch time experience.

As part of Aspris Children’s Services, we are immensely proud of the career pathway and training we can offer you. As long as you can demonstrate the values needed for a role, transferable skills and life experience, we will give you all the training and support you need to progress!
