An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at Eastbrook school.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative person to join and our established team to deputise for the Catering Manager and support in the development of our catering operation taking responsibility for one of our designated service provisions.

 

The role is currently mainly based in the Primary Kitchen but is part of the whole school and as such work may need to adapt to meet the school needs and will from time-to-time cover different service areas.

 

The Food provision at Eastbrook school is developing and has an abundance of potential for further growth and improvement. Food and our catering service are firmly at the heart of the school, we are passionate about providing high quality fresh food with an outstanding service.

 

We are looking for a professional, flexible and motivated Supervisor with excellent cooking and catering skills and knowledge to help to develop food services across our Primary and Secondary school. Working alongside the school Business manager and Catering Manager to implement future development and business goals establishing further income streams and operational excellence

 

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and understanding of the catering service industry and a passion for delivering an outstanding service.

Candidates must be motivated and have a passion for quality, coupled with the highest standards in food production, presentation, and service. You must be able to demonstrate good leadership and motivational skills. Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer care are essential, as is the ability to work and lead as part of a team.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year.
