We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic and innovative faculty. Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development:
  • Design, implement, and evaluate engaging and challenging lesson plans that adhere to the national and international science curriculum standards.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and interest in chemistry.
  • Instructional Delivery:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in Chemistry, utilizing a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations that reinforce theoretical concepts and encourage hands-on learning.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and understanding of chemistry concepts.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, guiding their academic growth and improvement.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and respect.
  • Manage student behavior effectively, implementing classroom policies and procedures consistently.
  • Student Support and Mentorship:
  • Identify students' individual learning needs and provide additional support, resources, and enrichment opportunities as necessary.
  • Foster a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to take risks and embrace challenges in their learning.
  • Collaboration and Professional Development:
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the science department and other subject areas to develop interdisciplinary projects and curricula.
  • Participate actively in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends in science education.
  • Communication and Community Engagement:
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Engage in school community events, promoting the value of science education and encouraging student participation.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree or additional qualifications in Chemistry or Science Education is an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of both theoretical and practical components of the subject.
  • Familiarity with international curricula, such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), or similar programs is preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in using educational technology and tools to enhance student learning and engagement.

Language Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in English is required; native or British English speakers are preferred.
