Job Summary

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in General Science for KS3, and Chemistry for GCSE, and A-Level students.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a rigorous curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
• Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Foster a passion for chemistry through innovative teaching methods and practical experiments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall Science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of chemistry and education, incorporating new ideas into teaching practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A valid teaching licence for secondary education.
• Proven experience teaching KS3 Science and GCSE and A-Level Chemistry.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for chemistry and the sciences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Experience with innovative teaching strategies and assessment methods.
