Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in General Science for KS3, and Chemistry for GCSE, and A-Level students.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a rigorous curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Foster a passion for chemistry through innovative teaching methods and practical experiments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall Science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of chemistry and education, incorporating new ideas into teaching practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- A valid teaching licence for secondary education.
- Proven experience teaching KS3 Science and GCSE and A-Level Chemistry.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for chemistry and the sciences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Experience with innovative teaching strategies and assessment methods.
