Job overview

Founded in 1970, Campion was established for the purpose of providing a first-class education for boys and girls aged between three and eighteen, fostering abilities both in the field of academic and general education, and in sporting activities and the performing arts. It is the school’s intention to educate the whole person with the aim of developing responsible world citizens of good character.

The role:

This is a new role for Campion School, created from a desire to see continuous improvement and ensure that the school is able to serve its pupils to the very best of its ability. The Trustees recognise that schools are now complex organisations that face a series of operational and strategic challenges. The COO will play a key role in the evolution of the school, supporting the Headmaster to ensure that the school operates smoothly and efficiently and complies with all relevant regulations and legislation.

The COO will have full responsibility for the performance of the non-academic operational aspects of the school and for the continual development of the departments that perform these functions. In addition, the COO will take the lead in investigating alternative funding streams outside of the regular school day. Campion School has recently purchased a new piece of land adjacent to the school, and the successful candidate will play a key role in the development of new facilities to augment our already outstanding campus, including supporting negotiations with the authorities, developing an appropriate financial model and leading the project team.
