About us

Mater Ecclesiae is a new and growing Catholic Multi Academy Trust in Preston, Lancashire. We currently consist of nine primary schools and one secondary school. In line with the Bishop’s vision for schools across the Diocese of Lancaster we are due to grow to seventeen schools before the end of this academic year; when fully formed we will consist of twenty primary and three secondary schools.

As part of our growth plan, we are looking develop and implement an outstanding Catholic schools singing programme that builds on, celebrates and enhances the God-given talent within our schools. This strategy will be underpinned by our Trust values of Compassion, Confidence and Community.

About the role

As Choral Director, you will lead high quality weekly choral singing sessions in schools, conducting choirs and helping to shape the ministry of music throughout the Trust. Mater Ecclesiae and the Diocese of Lancaster are looking for an outstanding performer and practitioner to help deliver the work of a new Catholic singing programme in our Trust schools, including in-class singing sessions, and both establishing and directing after-school choirs. The singing programme forms part of the National Schools Singing Programme.

Safeguarding

Our Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share the commitment and undergo an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will be appointed under the terms and conditions of a CES contract which they will be required to sign. The employer will be the Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
