Job overview

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic Class Teacher to join our thriving school community. The successful candidate will inspire and challenge students through engaging lessons, create a positive classroom atmosphere, and contribute actively to the overall development and well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the school’s British Curriculum standards.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies and innovative practices to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Design engaging and differentiated lesson plans to ensure all students reach their full potential, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and EAL (English as an Additional Language).
  • Develop and integrate hands-on activities, project-based learning, and technology to enhance the student experience.
  • Regularly assess student performance using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Establish a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that promotes positive behavior and a sense of community.
  • Implement and maintain effective classroom management strategies to support student engagement and discipline.
  • Foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through active participation in classroom activities.
  • Monitor and support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents through meetings, report cards, and informal communication.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support teams to create individualized plans for students requiring additional assistance.
  • Engage actively with colleagues in planning, sharing resources, and discussing best practices.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs.
  • Attend professional development workshops and courses to stay updated on modern teaching strategies and curriculum standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to foster a strong home-school partnership.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives, committees, and projects.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject, with a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience teaching in a British Curriculum school or similar setting.

Skills:

  • Strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of child development.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology to support learning and classroom management.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
