The Role
We are looking for dynamic and flexible Early Years Teachers who excel in a diverse, multicultural setting. To teach and educate students in accordance with the School’s curricular guidelines, addressing the educational needs, abilities, and potential of each student assigned by the Principal. It is crucial to demonstrate a passion for learning and employ a flexible and imaginative teaching approach. Furthermore, active participation in the School’s dynamic extracurricular activities is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a learning environment where staff and students engage in ongoing learning and reflection.
- Fully participate in school life and the extracurricular program.
- Communicate and cooperate with staff and parents to support student success.
- Arrange the classroom and materials according to school guidelines.
- Design and maintain displays that enhance the learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and teach lessons to all students.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs and abilities of all students.
- Organise external learning opportunities, like field trips and guest speakers.
- Track and report on student progress and behavior.
- Mark work, gives feedback, and set goals for student improvement.
- Provide assessments and reports for students.
- Attend parent-teacher and student conferences and provide written reports.
- Create displays to make the learning environment attractive.
- Work with School Leadership and other teachers to develop courses, teaching materials, and assessment methods.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Participate in peer reviews and classroom observations by the Principal and/or Head of Primary.
- Attend training and development sessions to improve skills.
- Provide pastoral care to all students.
- Maintain order and discipline, ensuring students' health and safety.
- Use positive reinforcement to manage discipline according to School policies.
- Carry out break and lunch duties as scheduled in the School duty rota.
- Facilitate CCAs (Co-Curricular Activities).
- Prepare and present at least one class assembly each year.
- Organize Grade level performances or productions as scheduled.
- Ensure students are safely dismissed to parents, caregivers, ECA teachers, or the correct bus.
- Attend all required meetings, workshops, and events, including those on weekends or evenings.
- Register and monitor student attendance.
- Participate in improvement committees.

Minimum Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years teaching experience within an international school environment
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, along with a Professional Teaching Qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), or a valid Teacher License/QTS.
- Strong understanding of the CAIE Cambridge curriculum.
- Experience working in an international school setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated passion for education with the capability to deliver inquiry-based learning effectively.
This role is to commence in January 2025.
