The opportunity
We are seeking a Clerk to the Board of Governors. The Clerk reports directly to the Chair of the Board and works closely with the Governors and the Leadership Group of Doha College.
As Clerk to the Board of Governors you will be responsible for advising the governing body on constitutional and procedural matters. You will also secure the continuity of governing body business, register conflicts of interest, and observe confidentiality requirements.
Work hours for this position are flexible, and you must be able to manage your time to ensure you complete reports and minutes, and attend all meetings.
About you
You must have excellent administrative and secretarial skills, a high level of spoken and written English, and the ability to cope with periods of pressure. You must commit to meeting deadlines.
You must have excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence and ability to communicate and work effectively and efficiently with a diverse group of Board members and stakeholder groups.
You must act with integrity and have experience dealing with matters of a strictly confidential nature. You will need to demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to prioritise. You must be team-oriented and personable, and able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
This is a local hire and unsponsored post for which remuneration is salary only (no benefits are provided in addition). Only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered.
