Co-Ordinator of KS3 English

Redhill School is a successful 11-16 mixed non-selective school situated in Stourbridge in the West Midlands.  OFSTED (Nov 2011) identified the school as Outstanding in all key areas and in March 2013 the school was awarded Teaching School status which is entirely in keeping with our commitment to developing the best practice in teaching and learning in our own school and the wider educational community. 

 The English Department at Redhill is a successful and high attaining department within the school. The subject team has created a culture of challenge and support that inspires pupils to flourish and succeed.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Coordinator of KS3 English, who is both confident in their subject knowledge and can demonstrate an ability to deliver strong outcomes for students. This role will work alongside our Head of English and will focus on the quality of English education at KS3.

The candidate appointed will have the opportunity to play key roles in shaping the KS3 curriculum, and working with the English team to deliver strong outcomes for all our students. The appointment will also work closely with the KS4 Coordinator of English to ensure a strategic and systematic approach, that promotes a well sequenced and 5 year curriculum with a clear intent that meets the schools ambition and all students needs. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced teacher to join the English Department and make a difference.

The person Redhill is looking for will:

•  Have a passion for learning and teaching pedagogy and curriculum design.
•  Have the ability to teach English at KS3 and KS4 with a ability to deliver strong outcome s for students
• Be inspirational, innovative and committed to consistently delivering the highest quality of teaching. 
• Be passionate about teaching so that every student is continually motivated and progressing to their full potential
