The Chalfonts Independent Grammar School is a small, independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, authorised to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (IGCSE equivalent) and IB Diploma Programme (A Level equivalent). We are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, with excellent transport links to London, Oxford and the surrounding areas. High Wycombe train station is under 5 minutes’ walk away and the M40 Junction 4, is a few minutes’ drive.

We have small classes with a maximum of 14 students, focused on developing good habits and a strong work ethic through inquiry-based learning. Our IB programmes provide students opportunities to explore, inquire and develop confidence, as well as equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for further education and the working world.

We are Alpha Schools Group, which is a network of premium schools offering best practice and professional development opportunities for teachers. We are currently undergoing expansion and are looking to recruit additional teachers across a number of subject areas.

The Position(s):

We are seeking a Part Time Computer Science/ Design Technology Teacher to teach throughout the school (KS3-5). There is flexibility in working hours/days with opportunities for additional roles of responsibility for the right candidate. QTS is preferred, but not essential and the school is supportive of flexible working arrangements. Experience of the International Baccalaureate is desirable, but not required, as we will provide training for the newly appointed staff member. You should be a passionate, inspirational teacher with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. 

Teachers able to offer additional subjects may be able to combine them for a Full Time position.
