Course Manager/Lecturer Construction – 0.65 FTE (544 total teaching hours)

Are you an industry/trades specialist looking for a change of career? Or an experienced Tutor in construction, joinery, bricklaying and general maintenance? If you are passionate about inspiring and motivating all learners? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking an experienced, general tradesperson to support our Level 1 Construction students in their progression into apprenticeships and further study.

You will have excellent subject knowledge alongside trade experience. You will be a team player who is committed to achieving excellent quality of work and agreed performance targets and to achieving the highest standards of personal performance.

If you have the technical expertise and experience in teaching and learning but don’t yet hold a teaching qualification, we will support you with this.

Contractual Details

Rate of Pay or Salary:                    £23,506 - £38,769 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications.

Working Time:                                 828 hours per annum of teaching and equivalent professional duties over 198 days, for full time posts and pro rata for part time posts. You will be expected to be on site for 34 hours per week pro rata during the whole academic year.

Contract Type:                                Permanent

Pension:                                            Teachers’ Pensions Scheme

Leave entitlement:                        38 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time) plus additional discretionary days at Christmas.
