At Shuttleworth College our students are at the centre of everything we do. We are looking to appoint a flexible and dynamic Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across the school. This is a highly varied role through which the successful candidate will become an integral part of the school at an exciting time in its development. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children alongside excellent interpersonal skills, high expectations of student’s achievement and behaviour and the ability to follow clear instructions for pre-prepared tasks whilst using their own initiative.

We are seeking:
· To make a positive contribution to pupils’ learning by providing cover supervision for the short term absence of teacher
· To provide additional general supervisory cover as required, including before/after school and lunchtime.
· To provide additional support to class teachers as/when required.
· To assist with general administrative duties as required.

Shuttleworth College is a mixed, mainstream secondary school in Padiham, near Burnley in Lancashire. It caters to students aged 11 to 16 and has approximately 1,111 pupils enrolled.
Shuttleworth College was founded in September 2006 from the merger of Gawthorpe High School and Habergham High Sixth Form. It was provided with a brand-new facilities under the Building Schools for the Future programme. The school now boasts a restaurant-style kitchen, dance studio, sports hall, fitness room, tennis courts and all-weather sports pitches.
