Cover Supervisor
We are seeking to recruit a temporary Cover Supervisor to work at John Ferneley College, working 32.5 hours per week (5 days), Monday – Friday, (8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday - Friday) term time only plus 5 INSET days (39 weeks). This role is to cover a period of Maternity leave for up to 1 year.
We wish to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our team, who will cover classes by delivering pre-prepared lessons to a high standard. You will be an experienced classroom practitioner who has experience of working with students, delivering lessons, managing behaviour and ensuring that students are learning to their full potential.
The successful candidate will need to be an organised and creative person with good IT skills and a commitment to transforming the life chances of young people.
You will need to have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to manage a class and organise tasks. You will also have excellent problem solving, planning and decision making skills.
About the Mowbray Education Trust
The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton. The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school; with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future.
Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.

The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, contributory public-sector pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement:
- Actual Salary £10.62 - £11.27 per hour - £15,335 - £16,274 per annum
- (Full time equivalent salary: £20,496 - £21,750 per annum).
- Local Government Pension Scheme membership
- 5.44 weeks paid holiday entitlement rising to 6.44 weeks after 5 years’ continuous service
