The person appointed will provide cover for absent teaching staff, working in classrooms with students. In addition, they may be required to act as a Teaching Assistant or provide cover for general administrative tasks.

The Thomas Adams School is a co-educational, secondary school with sixth form in Wem, Shropshire. At its most recent inspection, there were 1,260 students aged 11-18 on the school roll, including 200 in the sixth form. The school has accommodation for 60 boarding students. The Boarding House received its Ofsted inspection which was graded as Good. We are part of the 3-18 Education Trust.
The secondary school dates back to 1650, when Sir Thomas Adams founded a free school in the area. A famous former pupil is comedian and actor Greg Davies.
