Salary: Actual Salary £16,826.25. FTE £23,400 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm (part-time options available)

Contract: Term time plus one week (39 weeks per year)

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our team at [School Name]. This vital role ensures continuity of learning during teacher absences, playing a key part in supporting the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and disruption-free environment.
  • Provide feedback and support to help students achieve their potential.
  • Lead small group interventions to aid in catch-up for students with learning gaps.
  • Assist in preparing resources and maintaining the classroom environment.
  • Supervise students during school activities such as lunch breaks and trips.

What We’re Looking For:

  • GCSEs in English and Math's (Grade C/4 or above) – essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to use IT to support learning.
  • Passion for supporting young people and creating inclusive learning environments.
  • Experience working with children across different age and ability ranges is desirable.

Huish Episcopi Academy is a large, non-selective, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 based in the heat of the Somerset Levels with a large catchment area. We are proud to be part of United Learning.  At Huish, we offer the full national curriculum to all students with opportunities for our pupils to engage in a broad range of additional activities in sports, music, and the creative arts.
