Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Cover Teacher who can teach at least one core subject at Key Stage 3 and preferable Key Stage 4, on a 1 year fixed term contract. The cover teacher will provide general cover for all subjects and will teach cover lessons in their specialist area(s).
Applicants must have experience and success in working with children across the secondary age range and an ability to inspire pupils, helping them to achieve their personal best.
The Cover Teacher will work across all school departments and will require strong communication and team working skills. As a school we use Microsoft Office including OneNote and Teams as well as specialist software packages across different subject areas.

- Ability to teach two or more core subjects and KS3.
Essential Criteria
- A Teaching Qualification.
- Previous experience in teaching across the secondary age range.
- Ability to inspire pupils, helping them to achieve their personal best.
- Be empathetic and be able to recognise the needs of children in a school environment.
- Have excellent communication skills in both written and verbal.
- Able to contribute positively to the team.
- Adaptable and flexible working approach.
- Act as an ambassador for the school.
- Ability to encourage a love of learning in all pupils across the curriculum.
- Ability to engage with pupils positively and effectively.
