Are you looking for your next challenge? This is a great opportunity to join Nottingham High School as a Credit Controller for a fixed term contract of 6 months. This position will support our Finance Team and wider stakeholders to administer various financial and operations related tasks.

The salary is from £30,000 (dependant on experience) per annum plus competitive employee benefits.

The hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour unpaid lunch break each day.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Purpose

To administer various finance and operational related tasks and to support the Finance Department.

  • To chase payments for fees from parents and ensure tight control on any outstanding balances
  • To chase payments for fees from parents and ensure tight control on any outstanding balances
  • To organise and control regular streams of cash, cheque and card income for ifinance posting and for regular banking
  • To assist in the administration of the music income and refunds, working with the music administrator closely
  • Good communication skills, working with key stakeholders on all bank and debt related queries
  • To assist with all aspects of the sales ledger requirements across the Infant, Junior and Senior schools, which will include raising of sales invoices, posting of invoices and allocation of receipts and maintenance of credit control all using ifinance, Wisepay and Worldpay
  • To assist with the control of petty cash income and expenses
  • To assist with the application of discounts to invoices i.e Scholarships, Bursaries and Staff discounts
  • To assist with ordering of goods/ supplies/services
  • To assist with the management and support for Wisepay income
  • Preparation of monthly Aged debt reporting and close management of potential bad debt
  • Communication with leadership regarding escalation of bad debt and with external debt collection agency
  • To undertake various other finance tasks found in a small finance office including staff cover for other finance areas
  • To undertake other tasks reasonably requested by management including, if necessary, outside the finance and operations department.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

  • Desirable: AAT or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous work using accounting software
  • Microsoft Office Suite 2010
  • iFinance
